Serviced Retirement Apartments & Flats For
Senior Independent Living
Retirement apartments are available with one or two bedrooms and some retirement flats have their own kitchen. All retirement accommodation includes modern en-suite bathrooms and every retirement apartment has its own TV point and internal and external telephone.
Unlike most retirement communities, at Danny you have the advantage of being able to rent rather than buy your apartment. This frees up your equity and relieves you of the burden and inflexibility of retirement ownership.
We provide the personal touch of pastoral retirement care: help receiving deliveries; co-ordinating the arrival of your guests; arranging transport and shopping; organising cultural trips; and taking messages when you are away.
We take pride in seeking to facilitate residents being able to live at Danny House for life with the majority of residents not needing to ever move into a care home.
There are both large and small retirement apartments, and your monthly charge will therefore depend upon how much space you need. All retirement flats have well equipped cupboards and a utility-space, with a sink, and a refrigerator, where you may prepare simple snacks. Some senior living apartments have their own kitchen.
Council tax is included in your monthly rental, as are heating, lighting and water, the use of the laundry-room, and, indeed, access to all parts of the estate. There is free parking for your car.
The monthly rental charge for apartments vary from £2,600 pcm to over £4,000 p.c.m., depending on the size of the apartment, and a returnable deposit of 6 months is required.
Living at Danny means sharing the life of a community of like-minded people; being able to pursue those hobbies for which there was never time when you were working; and the knowledge that you do not have to worry about any problems of maintenance of either house or grounds. It all adds up to a carefree retirement.
Full maintenance with no extra charges
- Your apartment includes full maintenance with no additional service charges.
- There are guest rooms for the use of residents’ friends and relations. A nominal charge is made for this, and for any extra meals, which appears on your monthly account.
- What next? The first thing is probably to come and have a look around. There are no other formalities, except that we do need to know that you are capable of looking after yourself. When an apartment becomes free, you will then be asked for a returnable deposit of six months’ rental.
